The Decarb Hub focuses on funding

We aim to accelerate the transition of the maritime sector towards more environmentally friendly, low-carbon technologies and practices.

The funding typically supports a range of activities, including:

  1. Research and Development: Financing innovation in low-carbon technologies, alternative fuels, and energy-efficient solutions for the maritime industry.
  2. Pilot Projects and Demonstrations: Supporting the testing and implementation of decarbonisation technologies in real-world settings, such as green ships, carbon capture solutions, and renewable energy integration.
  3. Collaboration and Partnerships: Enabling cooperation between industry stakeholders, governments, and academic institutions to share knowledge, align strategies, and scale decarbonisation solutions.
  4. Policy and Advocacy: Funding initiatives that influence industry standards, regulations, and global decarbonisation policies, aiming for broader adoption of sustainable practices.
  5. Capacity Building and Education: Supporting training programs, workshops, and initiatives that build expertise in the decarbonisation of the maritime sector.

Decarbonisation funding ensures that the maritime industry can invest in cutting-edge technologies, facilitate large-scale change, and reduce its environmental impact, moving towards achieving net-zero emissions targets.
